Jutaan tahniah pihak PEMATRA ucapkan kepada team UKM yang mewakili Malaysia dalam pertandingan Shell Eco-Marathon Asia 2014, Luneta Park Manila, Filipina. Alhamdulillah team ukm mewakili Malaysia mendapat tempat kedua dalam kategori hydrogen prototype.

Kejayaan anda kebanggaan kami kebanggaan varsiti. Semoga kejayaan membanggakan ini dapat menyuntik semangat mahasiswa UKM khususnya di FKAB untuk memacu kejayaan sekaligus menempa nama UKM di mata dunia. Syabas kami ucapkan !

Being the team manager of UKM Fuel Cell of this event in the year 2012 was an honor to me as I was able to represent UKM and Malaysia at the same time. Shell Eco-Marathon Asia 2012, was the last SEMA host by Malaysia at Sepang International Circuit. SEMA 2012 brought glory to UKM Team, as we won first prize for Urban Car Category (Solar Car).

For Fuel Cell Team, it was a tough competition with representatives of countries from all around ASIA. The luck of winning any award for UKM might not be ours’ for the past years but we learnt a lot and proved that students of The National University of Malaysia (UKM) is able to compete and ready to change the world for the future. For all participants of SEMA 2012, I believe Sepang experience was just amazing!!

To our entire fellow friend who will compete SEMA 2014 in Manila from 4th until 7th February 2014, I wish you best of luck. Since this is the first time UKM participate in SEMA out of Malaysia, the situation will be really though for all of you. I saw all of you working hard in the KEJUT workshop, having the spirit to get sponsorship and the desire to invent with the lessons from the past. I believe UKM Team for SEMA 2014 will shine brighter and make UKM proud.

Semalam 29/1/2014 stesen Radio Ikim.Fm menjemput Saudara Mustapha Kamil Husen Abd Kadir, Yang Di-Pertua Persatuan Mahasiswa UKM selaku YDP Pematra dalam tajuk 'Mengantarabangsakan Idea Siswa'.

Di mana, dalam kupasan tajuk tersebut saudara Mustapha Kamil Husen telah berkongsi buah fikiran dan cara siswa mengutarakan idea-idea kepada masyarakat di luar sana. Sebelum ini ramai mengangap kebanyakan siswa hanya menumpukan perhatian kepada pelajaran dan peperiksaan. Jadi bagi mengubah persepsi masyarakat dalam membina pemikiran intelek dalam kalangan siswa,suara siswa hendaklah di ketengahkan supaya memberi inspirasi dan membuka mata dalam menuju mercu kejayaan selaras mendukung tranformasi Malaysia dalam merealisasikan Wawasan 2020.

Harapan kami, di harap suara siswa akan terus di ketengahkan oleh masyarakat dalam memperjuangkan idea-idea dalam memacu transformasi negara kelak.

Innovative and creative products sell – that’s an undeniable fact. To stay competitive in the international market, manufacturers need to market their products innovatively with good designs. Making products stand out in the eyes of the consumers is not an easy task as consumers nowadays are easily swayed by beautiful designs and shapes. To remain competitive in the global market and gain good market demand, it is imperative for manufacturers and designers to come up with new ideas and inculcate a culture of dynamic innovation.

The Malaysia Design Council (MRM) was established in 1993 to pave a future of innovation and design for Malaysia. It spearheads design programmes in the country to boost the industry’s design expertise, capabilities and standards.

A non-profit agency, MRM is under the supervision of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. It is regarded as a think tank and advisor to evolve innovative designs among Malaysians, and to ensure that we are on par with international standards.

For the past 10 years, MRM has strived to promote the effective use of design and thinking in business, education and government. To date, it continues with its efforts to elevate designing methods and to catapult the creativity among manufacturers. With the guidance and recommendations from MRM, Malaysian companies are now able to move ahead and forge a greater bond with their consumers through their increased expertise in creating eye-catching products.

MRM Objectives  

• Lead and coordinate design activities among Malaysian society
• Nurture new groups of innovative and creative younger generations
• Guide manufacturers towards world-class design capabilities
• Provide the competitive edge and ensure our manufacturers are on par with the international market
• Promote good design among manufacturers without compromising on quality

• To educate the industries on the importance of quality and effective design management, in product manufacturing, to compete in the open market
• To organise activities for locally designed products to be promoted internationally
• To be a repository of information and reference on design so as to assist the local industries to develop their design capabilities
• To coordinate advisory services to the industries
• To promote programmes in improving product designs among local industries

Unit Exco Eksperesi Mahasiswa Pematra telah menganjurkan satu karnival sukan yang di kenali sebagai "KASUTRA" pada 14 haribulan Disember 2013 yang berlansung di gelangang KTHO selama satu hari.

KASUTRA singkatan nama bagi Karnival Sukan Kejuruteraan merupakan acara sukan tahunan wajib bagi pelajar dan kakitangan staf FKAB di mana saban tahun pasti di serikan dengan jumlah penyertaan dari seluruh warga FKAB.

Objektif utama Unit Exco Eksperesi Mahasiswa mengadakan karnival KASUTRA ini adalah untuk memupuk semangat berpasukan dikalangan warga FKAB dalam usaha membina sahsiah dengan matlamat mencapai kegemilangan. Selain itu, mengeratkan tali ukhwah silaturahim dan menggalakan interaksi muhibah sesama pelajar dan kakitangan staf FKAB. Di samping itu, karnival ini juga dapat mewujudkan persaingan bersukan yang sihat dikalangan warga FKAB.

KASUTRA mempertandingkan dua acara sahaja pada tahun ini  iaitu "Grand Futsal" bagi lelaki dan "Bola Jaring" bagi perempuan. Karnival ini melibatkan lebih 150 peserta terdiri daripada mahasiswa dan mahasiswi FKAB dan termasuk kakitangan staf FKAB. Karnival ini tamat pada jam 5.00 petang di mana Majlis Penutup di serikan dengan kehadiran saudara Mukhsen Abd Kadir selaku YDP PEMATRA yang telah memberikan hadiah kepada pemenang yang berjaya.

Akhir kalam, di harap karnival ini dapat di teruskan lagi pada masa-masa akan datang. Jutaan terima kasih pihak kami ucapkan andai ada kesilapan dan kekhilafan yang berlaku pihak kami menyusun sepuluh jari memohon ampun dan maaf kepada semua ^_^
